Critical Issues and Emerging Trends

The Personnel Improvement Center identifies critical issues and emerging trends in personnel recruitment and retention through literature reviews and online resources, such as newsletters, webinars and relevant websites. The PIC also gathers information from conference presentations and the ongoing work through the PIC’s three state services. This information informs the critical issues and emerging trends section of this website. See the tabs to the left to read more about what issues we are working on with our states and disseminating information to our national audience.

Currently we are featuring information on:

  • Principal’s actions that support special education and related service personnel
  • In addition, our section on Practice Briefs features 4-page briefs that highlight emerging trends in recruiting, preparing and retaining personnel.
