Basically I want to reach children on a very personal level. I want to be able to be part of that overcoming their struggles and difficulties.
I am always filling my bag of tricks. I am always coming up with new things and new ways to present material and ideas and lessons to these students.
I pull off the glasses and I see people and students individually instead of kids I am teaching this class today. I teach them one on one.
I see myself more as a guide and a coach, you know a guide to show students here is what is possible. And then a coach, my father is a coach and maybe that is where I get that from, of standing on the sidelines saying, “You can do it! You can do it! Keep going!”
